What it's about
To visit Havasu Falls, securing a permit is essential. The Havasupai Tribe manages a reservation system with two primary phases: a presale and a general public sale.
Presale Phase:
Typically held in December, the presale allows account holders to enter a lottery for a chance to reserve dates before the general public. Participants pay a non-refundable fee per person to enter. If selected, they must confirm and pay the full reservation fee by a specified deadline.
General Public Sale:
Following the presale, remaining permits are released to the public, usually in early February. Reservations are made on a first-come, first-served basis. Given the high demand, it’s advisable to be online promptly when the sale begins.
After the Sale:
If you miss both the presale and general sale, you can monitor the Havasupai Tribe’s official website for cancellations. The tribe updates available permits regularly, offering another opportunity to secure a reservation.
