What it's about

Hovenweep National Monument, located on the Colorado-Utah border, preserves the remnants of six prehistoric villages built by the Ancestral Puebloans. The monument features well-preserved stone towers, kivas, and other structures that date back to the 12th century. Visitors can explore these archaeological sites through a network of trails that offer stunning views of the surrounding desert landscape. Hovenweep’s remote location and dark skies also make it a prime spot for stargazing and experiencing the night sky.
