The Japanese Friendship Garden of Phoenix is a 3.5-acre oasis in the heart of the city. The garden was established in 1990 as a symbol of friendship between the people of Japan and the people of Phoenix. The garden features a traditional Japanese strolling garden, complete with bridges, ponds, and waterfalls. The garden is also home to a tea house, bamboo forest, and koi pond. Visitors can enjoy the peaceful scenery or take part in one of the many cultural events and classes offered at the garden. From Origami workshops to taiko drumming performances, there is something for everyone at the Japanese Friendship Garden of Phoenix.
