Near Kilauea, there is a little-known beach called Rock Quarry Beach (Kahili Beach) that is well-liked by local families and surfers. There are lots of waves, lots of sand, plenty of sun, and plenty of cover on this lovely crescent-shaped beach. The remnants of the rock quarry are located at one end of the beach. The stuff of tropical fantasies is an isolated section of beach on the opposite end, beyond a rocky protrusion. A large amount of sand in the center is surrounded by a pleasant shaded space. A lagoon and a lovely valley with some of the island's finest properties are located behind the shade.
