Kekaha Beach Park, located on Kauai's far west coast, is primarily used for sunbathing and viewing the sunset. The longest stretch of white sand beach in the state begins at this beach. The water can occasionally become brown due to strong winds, waves, and river runoff. Kekaha Beach is a favorite among local fisherman and surfers. From here, one can view Lehua rock and Niihau Island. Since this is the island's dry side, you can expect to find plenty of sunshine even if it's pouring elsewhere.
It can sometimes be a little rocky, making swimming less than ideal.
