Lookout

What it's about

Perched on the southeastern coast of O‘ahu, Lanai Lookout offers breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean and the island of Lanai in the distance. This less-visited spot provides a peaceful retreat with panoramic vistas of the rugged coastline, making it a perfect stop for those seeking to enjoy O‘ahu’s natural beauty without the crowds.

The lookout itself is simple but offers some of the most dramatic ocean views on the island. The cliffs drop steeply into the deep blue waters, and on clear days, you can see the island of Lanai just across the channel. The winds can be strong here, adding to the sense of adventure and isolation.

The area around the lookout is rocky and wild, making it an excellent spot for photography, especially during sunrise or sunset when the colors of the sky and ocean come alive. You might even catch sight of whales during the winter months, as they pass by on their migration.

Accessible by car, Lanai Lookout is a perfect spot for a quick visit or to simply pause and take in the view. It’s a peaceful place to stop, breathe, and appreciate the raw beauty of O‘ahu’s coastline.
