About two-thirds of the way up, look for a sign about whales—this is where you’ll find the path down to the tide pools. The descent can be steep and rocky, so it’s important to wear sturdy footwear for safety.
The hike is about 2.19 miles round trip and takes 2 to 3 hours to complete. It’s best to visit early, as the parking lot can fill up quickly, especially during peak hours. If the lot is full, street parking is available, but be cautious of leaving valuables in your car.
The area is open from sunrise to sunset, offering ample time to enjoy the stunning views and the tide pools. Visitors should practice extreme caution, as waves can crash over the rocks and cause serious injury. Always check ocean conditions before visiting, and be mindful of high surf, as the area can be dangerous during such times.
