The 2.5-mile Okolehao Trail on Kauai's North Shore will give you a workout as you ascend to a 1,250-foot altitude. This trail is generally considered fund and challenging but you will be rewarded with breathtaking views of Makana, Kilauea Lighthouse, Hanalei Bay, green Hanalei Valley, and the Napali Coast, making the teck to the end well worth it.
The trail is steep and muddy on a dry day. Do not attempt this hike in the rain.
