What it's about
Palo Duro Canyon, located in the Texas Panhandle, is the second-largest canyon in the United States. Known as the “Grand Canyon of Texas,” it features dramatic landscapes with multicolored rock layers, steep cliffs, and unique formations. Visitors can explore the canyon through hiking, biking, and horseback riding on numerous trails. The park is also home to the outdoor musical drama “Texas,” performed in an amphitheater set against the canyon walls. Camping, picnicking, and wildlife viewing are popular activities in this breathtaking natural area.
