Founded in the 1880s, Ruby, Arizona is a ghost town that was once a thriving community of 1,200 people. Today, it is a private owned Ghost Town that is available for a self-guided tour. It is just a day trip away from Tucson. Visitors to Ruby can learn about Arizona's mining history and see how the town has changed over the years. There is a $15 per person fee which includes a map of Ruby, a day pass to the ghost town, and access to over 350 acres of trails, two lakes, and incredible biodiversity.
