The West Fork Trail is a popular hiking trail located in the Oak Canyon area of Arizona. The trailhead is situated at an elevation of 6,000 feet, and the trail winds its way through a canyon for approximately three miles before ending at a waterfall. Along the way, hikers can enjoy views of the canyon walls and wildflowers. The trail is rated as moderate although avid hikes may find it fairly easy , and it typically takes around two to three hours to complete the hike.
If you are anywhere close to this area, this is a MUST-DO! It is considered one of the top 10 most beautiful trails in the US and #1 in the area. You are in shade most of the way with glorious views of the canyon and 13 water crossings. Due to its popularity, the trail can get crowded on weekends, so it's best to start your hike early in the day.
